What Is a Submucosal Fibroid?

Fibroids that are in the inner layer of the uterus are called ‘submucosal fibroids’ (fibroids numbered 0, 1 and 2). By causing a disturbance in the structure of the inner layer of the uterus, these fibroids generally lead to heavy and prolonged bleeding during the menstrual period. At the same time, the fibroids that prevent conception are generally submucosal fibroids. The treatment of these fibroids is carried out successfully by hysteroscopy.
